Venus in Descent
Part 1 of Venus Retrograde Series.
On Sunday morning, Venus began her retrograde through Capricorn. Venus retrograde becomes Inanna, descending to the realm of the Dead to visit her sister, Ereshkigal.
Venus is taking Pluto and Lilith Star Algol with her. The Dark Goddess and the God of the Underworld are her traveling companions.
She is taking us with her too.
We are in the Underworld, the domain of the Dead, for the next 40 days.
The work on the Descent is to surrender everything you believe to be true about yourself. All your strategies for staying safe, and all that you believe about who you are.
Surrender everything. Relinquish it to the Darkness.
It is the only way for the New Birth to happen.
The Holy Infant celebrated by Christendom at Yuletide, like the Return of the Light at Solstice, represents our craving for hope.
Before hope comes the Darkness.
Surrender to the Darkness. This is the step of transformation that we’d prefer to ignore.
This is an act of faith and courage that brings forth the Light.
